DESIGN FOR A BRACE FOR PLATFORM-SCALES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design NO. 32,954, dated July 17, 1900.
Application filed June 14; 1900. Serial lie-20,369. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIs I-I. SARGENT, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. J ohnsbury, in the county of Caledonia and State of Vermont, have invented and prouced a new and original Design for a Brace ror Platform'Scales, of which the followingis a specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for braces for platform-scales; and it consists in the design for such brace hereinafter described, and referred to in the appended claim.
I11 the accompanying drawing, which illustrates the invention, the figure represents a front View of the brace embodying my design and showing it attached to a supporting-pillar of the platform-scale.
In the drawing, B represents a curved bracket or brace formed at its lower end with a double scroll,the upper parts of which scroll are connected by the bar 0. Projecting upwardly and forwardly from this double scroll are curved bars D, having between them and connected with them a serpentine or zigzag brace-piece E, one of said bars D at its forward end being curved around and united to the serpentine piece E, as shown at F. Projecting upwardly from the forward end of the brace is the part G, and projecting downwardly from the forward lower scroll portion is the base H.
The essential feature of the design consists of the brace having the double-scroll lower portion, with the upwardly and forwardly projecting curved bars, with the serpentine or zigzag brace between said bars.
Having thus described myinvention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Pat out, is--- The design for a brace for platform-scales; substantially as shown and described.
