EDWIN M. (*ORYELL, (ll? XFAV YORK, N. Y., ASSIGKOR. TO JULIA E. CAMERON, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A FRAME FOR WATER ENDS FOR STEAM-PUMPS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,133, dated January 23, 1900.
Application filed December 13, 1899. Serial No. 740,131. Term of patent 14 years.
To m! 11-]: out if may concern:
lie it known that I, EDWIN M. CORYELL, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for a Frame for \Vater Ends for Steam-Pumps, which is fully set forth in the following speciiication.
Figure 1 is a perspective, and Fig. 2 is a to plan.
valve-chambers. More particularly, each Wfh tar-chamber is of substantially the same length and heighti. 8., squareas viewed from the side, but of less thickness from side to side. It may have the central and the lower longitudinal swellings a, with the intermediate valley (1', and it is rounded on the edges, except where it carries the four flanges 3o hereinafter referred to.
B is the suction-pipe, resting on the basefianges I), provided with the transverse elbow that leads to the inlet B, and united to the water-chambers by flanges b, which are bolted to the corresponding flanges on the waterchambers.
O C are the valve-chambers, substantially cubes, but rounded at the edges, as shown, and each united to its water-chamber by the flange c, which is bolted to the corresponding 0 flange on the water-chamber. The bonneis O are bolted to the projecting sides of the valve-ohambers,while to their ends are bolted the plate C".
D is the union-pipe, substantially a flat- 5 tened U, connected to the water-chambers by flanges d, bolted to the corresponding flanges on the water-chambers, and at D leading to the air-chamber and discharge. (N ot shown.)
E are the glands, bolted by their flanges to corresponding flanges on the water-chain bers.
At I is indicated the piston-rod.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is
The design for a frame for water ends of steam-pumps, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
EDYVIN M. COR'YELL.
Witnesses WILLIAM E. HILLs, CAL. MASSIE.
