DESIGN FOR A PUZZLE-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,723, dated October 24, 1899. Application filed August 29,1899. eriel No 728,917- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that'l, JAMES M. MONTGOMERY, of the city of New York, borough of Manhattan, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Puzzle-Scam of which the following is a specification.
The leading feature of my design consists of a puzzle-board made of oblong rectangular shape and in the semblance of a flag by the arrangement of parallel stripes or channels alternating with ridges and a starred corner portion separated by ridges from the portion containing the stripes.
The design is illustrated in the accompany iny drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a plan of a puzzle, illustrating my design; and Fig. 2 is a sectional elevation on line 2 2 of Fig. 1.
The puzzle-board is of oblong rectangular shape, corresponding to the shape of a flag,
and has parallel longitudinal stripes or channels a, separated by ridges I), having throughapertnres b, irregularly arranged. At the bottom the stripes and ridges extend the full length of the rectangular figure; but at the top they stop short of the left-hand edge, leavin g a rectangle c, which is separated from the other portion of the puzzle by one of the ridges b and by a transverse ridge 1, having a through-aperture d. \Vithin the rectangle 0 appear stars a and pins f and in the center a raised cylindrical body g, exhibiting, as at 71 the representation of an anchor.
I claim- The design for a puzzle-hoard, as herein shown and described.
