DESIGN FOR A MEMORANDUM-BOOK COVER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,075, dated June 2'7, 1899.

Be it known that I, GUSTAV A. known- SCHNITT, a. citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for a Memorandum-Book Cover or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, refer ence being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which Figure 1 is a face view of a memorandumbook cover bearin g and incorporating my design, and Fig. 2 is an edge view of same.

The leading feature of my design consists in the surface ornamentation on the coverplate, snbstantiellyas shown in the drawings.

In the drawings, A B respectively designate the front and rear plates of the cover, and (J the back or hinder thereof. The plate A at its corners bears the triangular ornamental 2o fields D, each comprising the mottled scroll E and ornate border-line F.
