DESIGN FOR A BADGE OR BUTTON.
SPECIFICATION forniing part of Design No. 30,975, dated June 13, 1899.
Application filed April 20, 1899. Serial No. 713,794. Term of patent 3% years.
To a whom it Truly concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN A. KERKER, of the city of Buffalo, county of Erie, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge, Button, or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
This design relates to the configuration and ornamentation of a badge, button, or similar article.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a face view of a badge or button embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a cross-section in line 2 2, Fig. 1, looking downward, as indicated by the arrows.
The leading feature of my design consists of a background or support of substantially circular form having therepresentation of an atlas representing the western hemisphere and projecting in front of said atlas at the left side the head of a buffalo located upon the flat front side of the background.
Referring to the drawings, A is is the flat substantially circular body forming the background of the badge or button. 13 is the head of a buffalo at the left side of the atlas, 0 representing the western hemisphere.
It is apparent that is design this also applicable as an engraving on envelops, letterheads, and other stationery and also on sonvenir medals.
Having described my invention, What I claim is The design for a badge, button, or similar article, substantially as herein shown and described.
