SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,890, dated May 30, 1899.
Application filed April 10, 1899. Serial No. 712,555. Term of patent 7 years.
To all Irritant it may concern.-
Be it known that I, \VILLIAM 0. SMITH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Medford, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for a fire Scoop, of which the following is a description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof. 7
Figure 1 of the drawings shows in side elevation a wire scoop, illustrating my design; and Fig. 2 is a front elevation thereof with one of the loops broken out.
The leading feature of my design for a wire scoop consists of two arms at one end merging into and united by a spiral, each arm terminating at its outer end in a closed loop, the loops being slightly curved or bent toward each other near their outer ends.
In the drawings the two straight arms (1, a are united at one end by and merge into a spiral or coil a, forming a continuation of the arms, the outer end of each. arm terminating in a closed loop a herein shown as rounded at their outer ends and with their sides converging as they join the arms a, the loops being opposed to each other and having their sides slightly curved outwardly, as at a, that the loops are bent toward each other near their outer ends.
Having fully described my design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Pateu t,
The design for a wire scoop, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
