DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,260, dated February 28, 1899.
Application filed January 27,1899. Serial lie. 703,617. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, J osnrn T. BAILEY, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge, of which the fob lowing is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
The leading features of my design for a badge are, first, the obverse of the body of the badge, consisting of a star having representations of rays radiating therefrom and an eagle on said star, and next, the reverse of the body, consisting of a star having a representation of the rays radiating therefrom.
Figure 1 represents a view of the obverse of a badge embodying my design. Fig. 2 represents a view of the reverse thereof.
In the drawings, A designates the body of the badge, the obverse of which is composed of the star B, the rays 0 radiating therefrom, and the eagle D on said star. The reverse of the badge is composed of said star and rays and the seal E, composed of the annular baud F, and the crossswords and anchor G thereon.
H designates a suspension device for the body of the badge, the same consisting of the ring J, the link K, and the wreath L, the body of the badge being pendent from said wreath.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a badge substantially as shown and described.
