KM J9 b4 6 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
SARAH A. OBYR-XE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A HOSE-SUPPORTER BAND OR BELT.
SIEOIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,777, dated December 6, 1898.
Application filed October 6, 1897. Serial No. 654,296- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, SARAH A. OBYRNE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Hose-Supporter Band or Belt, of which the following, in connect-ion with the accompanying drawings, is afull, clear, and exact specification.
- In the said drawings, Figure l is a front elevation of a hose-supporter band or belt embodying my design, showing the same in the position in which it is used; and Fig. 2 is an enlarged plan view thereof, illustrating the exact pattern The leading features of my design consist of a band or belt which is crescent-shaped when smoothed out fiat and when in position for use or when its attenuated ends are secured together is in the form of a downwardly-flaring band or belt the upper edge of whose front side curves down below the level of the connected ends and the tabs A located nearer to each other and to the mid-length of the crescent than they are to the ends of the crescent. The inner edge 13 of the crescent-shaped band is substantially semicircular or like the inner line of a crescent when the band is smoothed out flat and unrestrained, as in Fig. 2, while the outer edge of such band is formed on a curve gradually diverging from the extremities of the crescent and turning downwardly to form the tabs or cars A, which latter are located nearer to each other and to the midlength of the crescent than they are to the attenuated ends of the crescent. The outline of the device between the tabs A is formed on an up-curve, producing a narrow waist C at about the mid-length of the crescent. The
SARAH OBYRNE.
