The object of my invention is to provide a design for horseshoe-pads; and to this end said invention consists in the design as herein set forth and shown.
The leading features of my design for a pad consist in ahorseshoe-shaped front portion terminating in a heel portion of greater width, the front of said heel having two scallops of the same length, the horseshoe-shaped cavity in the pad terminating against said two scallops and containing two concentric rings, with a diamond within the inner ring, the heel being provided also with two wings tapering toward the front, and its face provided also with rows of semispherical projections.
The pad consists of a horseshoe-backing A, to which is secured the pad proper, B, the front portion of which is horseshoe shape and is beveled inwardly and outwardly and'terminates in the heel portion C. The front of said heel has two beveled scallops c 0, having their dividing-line in the axis of the heel, and two wings 0 c tapering toward the front. The face of the pad is provided with rows of semispherical projections b, and within the cavity of the pad and projecting in relievo from its inner wall are two concentric rings d, with a diamond c within the inner ring.
