M. E. LEITZ.
CANOPY FOR OIL STUVES, 8m.
(Application filed July 16, 189B.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
MARY E. LEITZ, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A CANOPY FOR OIL-STOVES, 800.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,293, dated August 30, 1898.
Application filed July 15, 1898. Serial No. 686,041. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MARY E. LEITZ, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Oil or Gas Stove Canopy, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
My design for a canopy for oil and gas stoves is fully shown in the accompanying drawing, which illustrates the device in perspeetive.
Referring to the drawing, A represents a conical canopy having at its apex a small cir cular head or knob a. Under the canopy is a circular ring 19, from which extend a series of gracefully-curved arms 0 to the edge of the canopy, leaving an open space below the canopy and between the arms.
On the surface of the canopy are circular rings (1 of fanciful design-work, which add greatly to the appearance thereof.
The leading feature of the design is the conical canopy having a knob or head at its apex and having underneath a circular ring from which extend the curved arms to the edge of the canopy, an open space being left below the canopy and between the arms.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a canopy for oil and gas stoves, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
MARY E. LEITZ.
