DESIGN FOR A SCARF-PIN OR SIMILAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,055, dated July 19, 1898.
Application filed May 25, 1898. Serial No. 681,743. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, DONALD R. CORBIN, a citizen of the United States, residing in New York city, county of New York, State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Scarf-Pin or Similar Ar-"' tiele, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a plan view of my scarf-pin or similar article. Fig. 2 is an ed ge view thereof, and Fig. 3 is a rear elevation of the same.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of a series of signal-flags A, connected to a line or rope I), said line or rope being attached at its opposite ends to a staff to, having a ball or similar device (Z at its upper end. Between the line and pole at b the badge is solid, or not cut away to form an outline.
A safety-pin B is used for attaching the scarf-pin or similar article and is shown secured to the rear portion thereof.
Upon referring to Fig. 8 it will be noticed that the three upper flags of the series are not divided from each other by a line run ning from the line or rope I) to the outer edge of the flags, and the same may be said of the two other series of flags, which are each separated by a space, as shown.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
