DESIGN.
G. W. BUSCH.
DRNAMENTAL GRoss.
No. 27,928 Patented Nov. 30, l897.
UNITED STATES GEORGE PATENT OFFICE.
IUSCI, OI" DETROIT, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR AN ORNAMENTAL CROSS.
To all whom it' may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEonoE W. BUSCH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in thccounty of \\'ayi1e and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design foraUross, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
The leading feature of in v design is the cross in the form of an artistically-arranged cluster of like star-shaped devices of peculiar design.
In the drawings, in which I have shown a pendant of such star-shaped devices arranged in the form of a cross, Figure l is a perspective view thereof complete; and Fig. 2 is a rear elevation, on n smaller scale, of the cross proper, not showing the su pporting-bell and cords, and showing the blank space in the rear of the central star.
As shown in the drawings, each of the devices A is in the form of an eight-pointed star provided centrally on both its front and rear faces with inclined tapering projections B. In the cross shown these devices are arranged in line, with two points of one star interlocking with the adjacent two points of the next star, so that the completed cross still retains the distinctive features of the individual stars. At the intersection of the two bars of the cross the latter is provided on its rear face With a blank space, as shown in Fig. 2, while on the front face is gracefully arranged a flower ornament E.
The cross is hung by cords from a bellshaped portion D.
Nhat I claim as my invention is- The design fora cross in the form of a cluster of like stansllaped devices, substantially as shown and described.
In testimonyT whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
GEORGE XV. BUSCH.
Witnesses JAMES WHITTEMORE, OTTO F. BARTHEL.
