\VILLIAM N. IELOI'ZE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A CASING FOR WEIGHING-SCALES.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAn N. PELOL'ZE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design or useful Shape for a Casing for \Veighing-Scales, of which the following, in connection with the accompanying. drawings, is a full, clear, and exact specification.
In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a sealeeasing embodyingmy design, and Fig. 2 is a rear elevation thereof.
The leading features of my design consist of the base A and the body portion B, having a semicircular dial 0. The base A is substantially flat with beveled edges LL and is of slightly-greaterdimensions than the adjoining edge of the body por- I tion B and dial C. The body portion B is seniicylindrical when viewed from the roar, as in Fig. 2, and is of less thickness than the diameter of the are by which its sides are bounded.
The scale-plate 2 rises perpendicularly from the base A at one end of the body portion B and is arranged in a frame-like portion D, which is of slightly-greater diameter than the body portion B, and whose edge is parallel therewith, as clearly shown in Fig. 2.
Upon the top of the body portion is arranged a knob E.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new therein, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The new and original design or useful shape for casing for weighing-scales, substantially as herein shown and described.
