To all whom it our concern:

lie it known that I, GEoIIoE AXTIIUNY S]X HIGHLY, a citizen of the l'uited States, residing in the cit and county of Philadelphia, Slateof Pennsylvania. have invented and produced a new and original Design fora ll'orseshoe, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

The leading feature of my design fora horse or animal shoe is a shoe having on the tread thereof depending segmental rims extending around the toe and heel portions thereof and necks intermediate of said portions at the up per part of the shoe.

Figure 1 represents a bottom plan view of a horseshoe embodying my design. Fig. 2 represents a section of the shoe on line our, Fig.

I, and an elevation of the relativiinner side thereof.

A designates a horseshoe having on the tread thereof the depending segmental rims l! l; and (I, it being noticed that the rims l; l; oecup the toe portions of the shoe and the rims occu t the heel portions thereof.

I) designates necks on the upper portions of the sides of the shoe, the same being intermediate of the adjacent ends of the rims it and C.
