DESIGN FOR PLATE-GLASS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,718, dated March 2, 1897.
Application filed Decemher 21, 1396. Serial No. 616,541. Term of patent 14 years.
Be it known that I, WILLIAM LENDER, of Allegheny, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for Plate-Glass, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forn'iing part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a front elevation of a section of plate-glass, showinglny design; and Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same.
The design relates to the ornamentation of the edge portions of plate-glass; and its essential feature consists in such a section having a beveled edge provided with ilutings having chipped or splintered surfaces. The surfaces of the It utings being somewhat rough and broken up, a very peeuliarbrillianl effect is obtained, especiall; when looking at the opposite face of the glass.
In the drawings, 2 represents a square section of plate-glass, having upon its rear face beveled edges provided with a series of Intings 3, having rough or splintered surfaces, which give a new and distinctive appearance to the article.
I claim The design for plate-glass, substantially as shown and described.
