DESIGN FOR A PRINT OR PATTERN FOR CIGAR-BOXES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,208, dated October 20, 1896.
Application filed September 14, 1896. Serial No. 605,822. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
[ie it known that I, NtcHoLAs Wt'rscrt, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of llndson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for an Ornamental Print or Pat-tern for Cigar-Boxes; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompauyingdrawing,forming a part thereof.
The design is placed upon a cigar-box, as shown in the drawing.
Said design consists of an oval panel having an ornamental scrollwork surrounding it and containing a. portrait. To the left of the panel is the American flag draped over a. portion of the scrollwork, and in the background to the left is shown a portion of the liulwarks and deck of n shipnnd two figures of lIlL'll in virilinns dross. To the right of the panel in background is shown a portion of the rainparts of a fort having a llagstalf from which is [lying the Anicriuan flag. A cannon is shown on the ramparts, nmnned by three soldiers.
I claim- The design [or an ornamental print or pattern for cigar-boxes, substantially as shown and described.
