Be it known that we, JAMES Pass and AL- BERT P. SEYMOUR, citizens of the United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Sockets for Incandescent Electric Lamps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing a part thereof.
Figure I is an elevation of a socket for incandescent electric lamps, showing our design. Fig. II is a top plan view of the saine.
The feature of our design for a socket is the marginal configuration thereof, as better shown in Fig. I. From its smallestdiatneter atl the socketgrad ually increases in size with a slightly concave curved edge 2, which terminates in the flattened circumferential band 3. Near its lower edge, as here shown, the socket is provided with another flattened circumferential band 4, between which and the band Bis the depressed portion 5. The upper portion 6 of the socket, as here shown, commonly called the base, is provided with a z nesses, at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga, in the State of New York, this 1st day of February, 1896.
