DESIGN FOR A GASKET-PLATE.l
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,095, dated January 28, 1896.
Application filed October 9, 1894. Serial No. 525,433. Term of' patent 7 years.
T0 all whom, t may concern:
Beit known that I, MAX BREMEE, of New Bedford, in the county of Bristol and State Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Casket-Plate, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a plan view, and Fig. 2 an end view, of a casket name-plate containing my new design. Fig. 3 is a plan view, 'and Fig. .Je an end view, of a casket ear-plate Containing my new design.
The leading feature of my design consists in a curved margin tinted vertically in relation to the base and followed by a rising transverse swell, which is followed in turn by a transversely-ribbed space next a wide reverse scroll, which is followed by a curved margin that is iluted vertically in relation to the base, the two liuted margins being at opposite sides of the plate and the rising transverse swell having a surface ornamentation of relief serollwork, and the wide reverse scroll being surrounded by a relief-point and pendent dropwork.
In the drawings, A is a curved margin vertically iiuted relatively to the base, and B is a rising transverse swell which follows mar gin A.
C represents the ribbed space next swell l, and D is the wide reverse scroll, following which is a curved margin A, .flnted like inargin A. Bosses at, flanked by conventional scrollwork af, form relief ornamentation on scroll'l, and round pointwork and pendent d ropwork 'y' form relief ornamentation along the sides of the wide re\f*erse scroll D.
That l claim is- The design for a casket-plate substantially as herein shown and described.
