DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,980, dated December 10, 1895.

Application filed November 11, 1895. Serial No. 568,637. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WINTHROP L. J Aoos, t citizen of the United States, and a resident of East Orange, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented. anew and original Design for a Carpet and Border, of which the following is a specification.

This invention comprises two parts, namely: the design A for a carpet and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing aecolnpanyin g this specification conveys to any one a clear understanding of the same and is suiiieient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design A is characterized bya ground of lacework and large conventional fleur-delis-like figures.

The design B is characterized by a ground of lacework and large conventional fleur-delis-like figures with upwardly and outwardly 2o projecting stemwork between the fleur-delis-like figures.

That I claim, and desire to secure by Leb ters Patent, is-

l. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, thc border l, substantially as shown.

3. The design for a carpet, comprising the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
