SPECIFIGATION forming part of Design No. 24,978, dated December 10, 1895. Application filed November 8, 1896. Serial No. 568,364- Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, IIENRY HORAN, a citi- AQTI of the United States, and a resident of East Orange, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for a Carpet and Border, of which the following is a specification.

This invention comprises two parts,namely: the design A for a carpet, and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification conveys to any one a clear understanding of the same, and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.

The design A is characterized by clusters of flower forms surrounded by waving bands of lacework intertwined with leaf and flower forms.

\Vhat I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. In a design fora carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design fora carpet, the border 1%, substantially as shown.

The design for a carpet, comprising the body A and the border 13, substantially as shown.
