DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 23,207, dated April 24-, 1894.
Application filed March 22.18% Serlal No. 504,725. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM F. BROWN, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, United States of America, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Carpet, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, which represents a face view of the carpet in which the new design is embodied.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces such as carpets and similar fabrics, and it consists in the novel configuration of figures as herein shown and claimed.
The design consists of a body A and border B. The body A is decorated with flowers of the rose and daisy type, together with foliage in festoon arrangement, and the border B is decorated with festoons of corresponding flowers and foliage; the arrangement of the festoons in the border, however, diflers from that in the body of the carpet.
I claim 1. In a design fora carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
