DESiGN FOR A MATCH-STAND.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,511, dated May 3, 1892. Application filed December 9, 1891. Serial No. 414,519. Term of patent 3% years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, OLAF STROM, a citizen of the United States, residing in Brooklyn, in the county of Kings, in theState of New York, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for a. Match-Stand, of which the following is a specification.

My design is wrought out in the form of a statuette, representing the thin and pleasantfaced conventional Jonathan in costume holding his hat inverted in a deferential and inviting position in his hand.

The accompanying drawing forms a part of this specification and shows my design in front View.

My design consists in the Jonathan holding his hat in his hand in an inverted position.

Referring to the figure and the letters of reference marked thereon, A is the body of a statuette, A the smiling face, and A an arm and hand holding the hat B. A base C forms an ample support for the whole.

\Vhat I claim is- The design fora, matelrstand or similar article, consisting of a, Brother Jonathan with his hat in his hand inverted, as herein shown and described.
