Be it known that l, JULIUS PEGEL, a. subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing in the city of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a` new and original Design for a. Rug, of which the following is a. full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming E part of this specification.

My invention has relation to the surface ornamentation of a rug; and it consists of the design therefor, as shown in the accompanying photographie drawing, to which reference is made, and which illustrates one-half ot the rug', the other half being precisely similar.

The design consists of several segregable parts--na1nely, the border, (marked A,) which surrounds a. field center, the outline of which is of the form shown at C, and the center piece, as shown at B.

I claim- 1. The design for a rug, substantially' as shown and set forth.

2. The design for the border A of a. rug, substantially as shown and set forth.

3. The design for a center piece for n rug, substantially as shown and set forth.
