To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ERNEST I-I. BENNETT, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at East Orange, in the countyof Essex 5 and State of New Jersey, haveinvented a certain new and original Design for a Rug, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.

My invention relates to the surface ornamentation of rugs; and it consists of the design therefor, which isfnlly illustrated in the accompanying photographic dra\ving,itsleading features being a rectangular field center 15 of net-work lines surrounded by a borderlike arrangement of isolated fanciful figures, and within the fieldeent-er a large figure of of the same character as those forming the border, said figure being surrounded on its edges by a floral and leaf-like ornamentation.

I claim as my invention The design fora rug, substantially as shown and set forth.
