DESIGN FOR A WATCH-CASE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 19,061, dated April 30, 1889.
Application filed March '7, 1889. Serial No. 302,332. Term of patent 7 years.
T0 all whom, it may concern.-
Be itknown that 1, THOMAS K. BENTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Summit, in the county of Union and State of New 5 Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for \Vateh Cases, of
which the following is a specification, refer- '1 once being had '0) the accompanying photograph, forming part hereof, which represents IO a back or face View of my new design for watch-eases.
This invention relates to a new configuration of the edge of a watch-case, and consists of the new bracketed ornaments applied 15 to the edge of a watch-case; and the leading 1 features of the design co11sist,first, in an openwork bracket and a connecting open-work 3 brace, and, second, of open-work brackets near j the stern and open-work brackets and a con- 1 2o necting open-work brace opposite the stem.
In the photograph, the letter u represents the body of the watch-case. I: is the stem.
Y On each side of the stem the watch-case a is provided with projecting brackets (l, which are truss-shaped and open, as shown. Opposite to the stem 1) the edge of the watch-case is provided with open truss-shaped brackets 6, between which is an open-work brace, f, having curled ends and internal open-work filling, as shown.
I claim- 1. The design for a watch-case, the same consisting of the open-work brackets e and connecting open-work brace f between the brackets a, substantially as shown.
2. The design for a watch-case, the same consisting of the open-work brackets 61 near the stem and of the open-work brackets e and connecting open-work brace f opposite the stem, substantially as shown.
