To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I. STEPHEN A. DOUGLAS VOLK, a citizen of the United States, and a resident-0f the city of Minneapolis, couutyof Hennepin, State of Minnesota, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Building-Block Toys, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.
My design consists in a grotesque buildingblock toy representing a human figure blocked out in angles.
The single view in the drawing represents my design in perspective.
It will be noted that all the lines of the figure are straight lines. N o rounded or curved lines are used in the delineation. in artists technical language. the figure is blocked out in angles.
On the head of the toy may he pictured a laughing face, and on its body may be indicated wearing-apparel, as having a tendency to increase the resemblance to a person and to heighten the grotesque eflect. In the drawing STEPHEN A. DOUGLAS VOLK.
