DESIGN FOR AN ARM-REST FOR BARBERS CHAIRS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,525, dated August 14, 1888.
Application filed June 15. 1888. Serial No. 277,264.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, THEODORE A. KOGHS, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Arm-Rests for Barbers Chairs. of which the following is a specification, reference being bad therein to the accompanying illustration.
The illustration represents a perspective view ofa barbers chair having my newly-designed arm-rest.
The leading feature of my design consists in a ball-shaped knob upon the forward end of the arm-rest,which knob being vertically in line with the forward standardwsupporting the arm-rest, beingin appearances. continuation of such standard.
A is the arm-rest, the forward end of which has a downward offset, the square sides of which are ornamented with projecting panels.
Term of patent 7 years.
The end of the arm-rest A is secured upon the forward standard, B, the upper portion of which is cylindrical and is ornamented with annular ogee beads. Upon the top of the for- 25 ward end of arm-rest A is fixed a ball-shaped knob, 0, being vertically in line with the cylindrical portion of front standard, B.
What I claim is The design for an arm-rest having a down- 30 ward offset to its front end,with a ball'shaped knob on top of said oflset portion and vertically in line with the front supporting-standard of the armrest, substantially as described and shown.
