DESIGN FOR A PAPER-WEIGHT.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,064, dated February 21, 1888.

Be it known that I, DAYTON BALL, of the city and county of Albany, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a new and 5 original, Design for Paper-Weights, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration, which forms part of this specification, and in which is-shown a frontelevation of my paper-weight.

The special feature of my new design for a paperweight consists of a panel or block which has on its upper face a has-relief of a shoe-last in profile.

As represented in the illustration, A indicates the panel or block of my paperweight of rectangular form. The ornamentation of said panel consists of a bas-relief, B, repre senting a shoe-last in profile. The upper outline of said has-relief is defined by a concave line, 1, that is joined at the apex 2 to an ogee line, 3.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

In a design for a paper-weight herein shown and described, the ornamentation of the panel A, consisting of a basrelief, B, of a shoe-last, as herein specified.
