Be it known that I, MICHAEL (YCONNOR, a citizen of the United States, residing at J ersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for DoonMats, of Which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, forming a part thereof.
The accompanying photograph represents a face view of a door-luat having my ne`w de- The leading feature of the design is the striping in various directions of the iigures that enter into the ornamentation of a mat; also in putting said figures so striped upon a Striped background.
The body A of the mat contains parallel stripes a a, as shown. The; center of the Inat contains hexagonal figures B,arranged in parallel diagonal rows b b and c c. Each hexagon B has parallel stripes on its face, as shown. The stripes in the hexagons of each row b are at an angle to the stripes a,as shown,

The border is composed of rows D of T-shaped figures, every alternate one of which is transposed, and each having stripes that run at 0 right angles to the stripes a, Which cross the body of the Inat.
I claim- 1. A design for a door-mat, consisting of the stripes a a and striped hexagonal figures 5 rows, the stripes in every alternate row of figures B being at an angle to the stripes a and to those of the adjoiuing row of fignres B, substantially as shown.
2. A design for a doordnaconsisting of the hexagonal figures B and T shaped figures D, all being striped and arranged substantially as shown.
