INVENTOR'. PAUL. R, KUHN HIS ATTORNEY.
Patented July 26, 1949 UNITED Des. 154,610
STATES PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A DISPLAY CASING FOR PENCIL OR THE LIKE Paul R. Kuhn, Brentwood, Mo., assignor to Ritepoint 00., St. Louis, Mo., a corporation of Missouri To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Paul R. Kuhn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brentwood, county of St. Louis, and State of Missouri, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Display Casing for Pencil or the like, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Fig. 1 is a top plan view of a display casing for pencil or the like, showing my new design;
Fig. 2 is an elevational view of the same in an upright position;
Fig. 3 is an elevational view in upside down position; and
Fig. 4 is a fragmentary vertical sectional view through the upper portion of Fi 2.
The dominant features of my invention reside in the portions shown in full lines; and include an opaque tube topped by a transparent spherical cap, within which is a central bore extending into the tube and containing a liquid with an unsupported display body of a specific gravity diifering from the liquid, whereby in one position of the pencil the display body is out of view within the tube, but in the reverse position it is displayed and magnified through the spherical cap.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a display casing for pencil or the like, substantially as shown and described.
PAUL R. KUHN.
