DESIGN FOR A MOLDING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 15,032, dated May 27, 1884.
Application filed December 26, 1883.
To all 107mm it may concern:
Be it known that I, Auneiaon'r \oo'r, of Rochester, Monroe county, New York, have invented or produced a new and original Design for Moldings; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in whichl igure 1. is a face view of the molding. Fig. 2 is a cross-section of the same.
My design relates to moldings for frames and other purposes, and is of thatkiud where the molding is covered with a braiding or platting of thread.
The design consists of such a molding provided with diagonal or spirallines of tufted work on the exterior, which relieves the l1l0- notony of a plain surface and presents a pleasing appearance to the eye.
In the drawings, A shows the molding. b shows a platted surface. 0 c are diagonal or Term of patent 7 years.

The braided or platted surface presents a fine background, while the spiral lines of tufted work break or diversify the plain surface and relieve the monotony. The whole forms ahighly-ornalnental appearance.

The design herein described, consisting of a molding having a platted or braided sur face, and spiral lines of tufted work extend ing around the same at regular distances apart, as shown and described.
