DESIGN FOR.A RUBBER SHOE.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EVERETT B. PRESTON,
a citizen of the United States, residing in Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illi- 5 nois, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for Rubber Boots and Shoes, of which the following is a specification.
My design relates to the ornamentation of the uppers of rubber boots and shoes, and is illustrated in the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification.
In said drawing,which is a perspective view of a rubber shoe to which my design has been applied, a represents a raised rib extending I 5 from the toe to the ankle in a. straight line along' the center of the upper. This rib is wide and flat upon its upper surface.
Similar ribs, 6, extend from this center rib down to the sole of the boot or shoe upon either side, and in a direction inclined toward :0 the heel.
I claim- The design for a rubber boot or shoe upper, consisting of the raised central rib, a, and the lateral ribs b, substantially as shown and de- 25 scribed.
