DESIGN FOR AN ALTO-RILIEVO.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,041, dated July 3, 1883,
Application filed May 14, 1883. Term of patent (it years.
To all whom it 'may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM SCHUMACHER, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design forAlto-Rilievos, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description,
A represents an oblong block or plate of suitable material, upon the face of which is arranged a perspective representation, B, of the New York and Brooklyn suspension bridge.
A narrow depressed panel, 6, extends along the lower part of said representation. A raised border, D, extends around the block or plate A and forms thereby a kind of frame within w oh the representation of said bridge and the panel below the same are arranged. The
whole is intended to be a memento of the opening of said bridge for use.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. A design for an alto-rilievo, composed of an oblong block or plate having a raised border and a raised representation of the New York and Brooklyn suspension-bridge within said border, substantially as shown and described.
2. A design for an alto-rilievo, consisting of an oblong block or plate, a raised representation of the New .York and Brooklyn suspension-bridge, a depressed panel below said representation, and a raised border or frame extending around said representation and panel, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed it this 10th day of May, 1883.
