DESIGN FOR A CALENDAR.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,027, dated July 3, 1883.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CLARENCE S. NATHAN, a citizen ot' the United States, residing at the city ot' N ew York, in the county of New York und State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Galendars 5 and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to letters or figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part ot' this speciiication.

rlhis design is intended to be used for acalendar; and it consists in a configuration representing a lire-engine, having characters indicating the days of the week and month and the name of the month, which may or may not have added to it a background representing buildings, and one 0r more orall of said buildings may be shown as on fire.

I prefer to arrange said design substantially as shown in the accompanying drawing, hav ing the name of the month on the boiler, as at a, the number representing tlie day of the month on the air-ehaniber b, and the name of the day of the Week on the suction-hose c.

In the center of the fly-Wheel dmay be shown an eyelet-hole or rivet-head, alsoin the center ofthe hub of the forward wheel, c, and at f in one of the buildings in the background.

In the rear of the fire-engine are shown several buildings, one of which is represented as Term of patent 'I years.

Vlt is evident that the eonliguration ol' this design may be varied considerably without departing from the essential features thereof.

\V hat I claim as new isl. A design for a calendar, consisting of a representation of a tire-engine ou portions ol` which appear characters representing dates, as shown.

2. A design for a calendar, consisting ol' a representation of a steam iireengine having on its boiler the name of the month, on its airchamber the number of the day oll the month, and the name ofthe day o1' the week on the suetionhose, as shown.

3. The design for a calendar herein shown, consisting of a representation of a steam fireengine having on its boiler the name of the month, on its air-chamber the number of the day of the month, on its suction-hose the name of the day of the week, and a background representing a number of houses, one or more of which are depicted as on fire, as shown and described.
