In Great Britain January 26, 1942 Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Konstantinos Markesinis, a subject of the king of Greece and a resident of Barry Dock, in the county of Glamorgan, in the Kingdom of England, have invented a new, origi nal, and ornamental Design for a Protecting Ferrule for Boiler Fire and Smoke Tubes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Fig. 1 is a perspective View of a protecting ferrule for boiler fire and smoke tubes showing my new design;

Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view taken substantially through the center thereof; and

Fig. 3 is an end elevational view thereof taken from the right of Fig. 1.

The characterizing features of my design reside in the protecting ferrule for boiler fire and smoke tubes, having an inner tubular portion with 10ngitudinal slits, a flange at one end of said tube, an outer shorter tubular portion concentrically mounted on the flange and lugs formed thereon, all substantially as shown.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a protecting ferrule for boiler fire and smoke tubes, as shown and described.
