PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A FOOT COVERING Application September 9, 1940, Serial No. 94,902

Be it known that I, Donald C. Goulding, a citizen of the United States, residing at Worcester, in the county of Worcester and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Foot Covering, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, in which- Fig. 1 is a side elevation of a foot covering showing my new design;

Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the foot covering of Fig. 1; and

Fig 3 is a, rear elevation of the foot covering of Fig. 1.

The design comprises a knitted tubular element closed at one end and adapted to extend over the foot of the wearer. To the underside of this element are secured a very large number of yarn ends to form a thick pad-like sole, the free ends of the yarn being loose, as illustrated, and the thick pad-like sole extending around the heel of the wearer when the tubular element is placed on the foot.

The ornamental design for a foot covering, substantially as shown.
