Be it known that I, Louis F. Schmidt, a citizen of the United States, residing in Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Casing for Door Closing and Checking Device or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 of the drawing is a perspective view of a casing showing my new design; and Figure 2 is a reduced perspective view showing the casing of Figure 1 as seen from the rear.

The casing of this design has the same appearance when shown from the opposite perspective.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a casing for door closing and checking device or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
