Be it known that I, Louis F. Schmidt, a citizen of the United States, residing in Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Casing for Door Closing and Checking Device or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

Figure 1 of the drawing is a perspective view of a casing showing my new design; and Figure 2 is an end elevational view of the casing shown in Figure 1.

The top and back of the casing, which are not shown in the drawing, are plain. The casing has the same appearance when seen from the opposite perspective.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a casing for door closing and checking device or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
