-liaving openings il and 4. registering withthe openings 3 and 4.' This member 7 extends parallel to the end member-s2. 'l
8 indicate, arched channel-shaped' members connect-ing tlie member 7 adjacent their cnds and extending parallel to the side members 1. 'l'hese members are preferably .arched loprovide clearance for the wheels of the lruclc which are located tlierebeneath, and between said members S andthe sidi` members 1.
9 are lugs extending downwardly from the end members .9. for
theV attachment ot' truss rods.
I claim: 1. A double body bolster comprising side and end members, a bolster member,
4strengthening members parallel to the end' members, which end in'embers and strengthenini;l n'ieinbers are provided with alined openings adapted to receive longitudinally disposed members of tliet'center sill of the under frame and arched strengthening members parallel to the. side members and connected to the first mentioned strengthening members near their ends.
2. A double body bolster in the form of a eastino' com irisiinr side members, channel- S D shaped end members, an I-shaped bolster member, channel-shaped strengthening vmembers connecting the side members and the bolster and extending parallel tortl'ie end members, which end members and strengthening members are provided with aliiied openings adapted to receive longitudinally disposed membersI lof the center sill ot' the under frame and reinforoin arched channel-shaped members connecting .said strengthening members and extending parallel to the side members.
3. The herein described double body bolster comprising side members, end members,
strengthening members parallel to the end `inembers, which end members and streiigtlv clung/members are provided with aliiied openings adapted to receive longitudinally disposed members ef the underframe of the car body, a centrally disposed bolster-uniting the central portions of the strengthening members -and end members, arched strengthening members connecting the first- A.mentii-ined strengtheningl members and eX- tendinj,r parallel to the side members and depending pairs of lugs at the ends of one' ot' the end members, all of which partsare cast integral. 1
