IMPROVEMEN'I IN HAY-RAKES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 9,956, dated August 23, 1853.I
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK B. PARKER, ofQuee11sville,Jenuings county,Indiana, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Revolvin g Horse-Rakes 5 and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making part of this specification.
The object of my invention is to provide an efcient preventive to the accidental tppin g of the rake.

The device by means of which Iprevent the tipping of the rake by any other force than the intentional one of the operator on the handle consists of a pair of steel springs, t', attached to the front ends of the handle-bars and projecting downward.
