The Valve aa ilh'leti'ated in Fig. 2 shows the position of the handle 28 whenpthe spigot it; closed and the cii'cuiation being in progiVhen the handle is; moved down 45 Water will be drawn from the bottom coil in the retrigeratm? whoee contents are higher in ten'lpei'a taro than any other coil. On movement of the operating handle down through. an are of 510 Water froife. the middle coil of the ice box or chamber will be delivered to the drinking cup 33 through the spigot 32, and on movement of 45 upward water will be drawn from the top of the section 36 to a drain tank or box 37 located beneath the refrigerator and connected with a trap 38 that leads to the sewer. The bottom coil 20 is provided with a'sto cock 21 and'drain section 40 which enab s the operator to drain the entire s stem. The pans and trays are also provide with a system of drains which communicates through a pipe section 41 to the drain box which is connected to the sewer.
Itwill be seen without further detailed description that the system is perfectly sanitary, allowing the drinking water to be drawn at' a number of temperatures, and providing means whereby the entire system may be flushed and the impurities washed into the sewer beneath.
By this system of construction, we put the laws of hydrostatic motion into force and operation, thereby establishing a refrigerat-' ing system as wellas a sanitary cold water supply. This system is ap licable to any and all cold storage and re rigeration systemssuch as meat markets, produce or meat cars in transit, cold storage plants or in vespipe sections andcomprising means folfin v any one of the sameat a time; v
