Be it known that We, FRANK hfl.. and linxnr H. United States, county, in the Hnfrunnrono, citizens oit' the residing at Chicago, Cook State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Slip Inserting liechanisins, ot' which the following is a full, clear, and eX act specification.
Our invention relates to improvements in means for automatically feeding slips, cards,
or analogous articles,`and the saine has for its objectA more particularly to provide a simple, etlicient and reliable mechanism for withdrawing slips or cards from a suitable holder or niagazine,.and then depositing orinserting the same automatically into a package. In' order to illustrate better our said invention we have shown the/same applied to a machine for closing cartons, of the type set forth in United States ,Letters Patent No. 860764, connection with is employed for inserting slips or cards, bearing notices or other matter, into the cartons as they pass through the machine, and before the covers of said ca-rtons are folded or closed. i
Further said inventionA hasitor its object to provide means whereby the slips or cards may he .automatically taken from a stach` or pile and transferred to the carton, and then deposited upon the contents thereof, and directly below its coveror flap.
