4UNITED STATES PA TENT OFFICE.
FRANK MICHALSKY, 0F FOLEY, MINNESOTA.
To all whom it may concern.'
Be it known that I, F RANK MroHALsKY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Foley, in the county of Benton and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Milking-Stools; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to an improved milking stool.
The obj ect of the invention is to provide a light strong', simply constructed cheaply manufactured sto-ol of' this character den signed t'o support both the millier and the milk bucket and it may be readily moved from place to place.
With the foregoing and other object-s in view, the invention consists of certain novel features ofconstruction, combination and arrangement of parts, as will be more fully described and particularly pointed out in the appended claims. v
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents a perspective view of this improved stool; Fig. 2 is a longitudinal vertical section thereof.
In the embodiment illustrated a step-like stool 1 is shown the frame of which is preferab-ly constructed of metal rods and the seats of heavy mesh wire or other suitable light material. The frame comprises an upright inverted U-shaped rear member 2 having loops 3 formed on the ends thereof which areeXtended laterally to form feet. A similarly shaped horizontally disposed member 4 has the free ends thereof engaged with the arms of the. member 2 preferably midway the length of said arms, the looped portion thereof having a heavy mesh wire bucket support 4 secured thereto. versely arranged brace rod 5 connects the arms of the member 2 to hold them against lateral movement.
Legs 6 and 7 are secured to the opposite sides of the member 4 and are preferably constructed of wire rods each bent inter` mediately of its ends to forma loop as 8 which is extended laterally to form a foot. This rod is twisted together adjacent said foot and the ends diverge and are secured by any suitable means to the side bars of the member 4.
An operator supporting seat is arranged Specification of Letters Patent.

above the member 4 and preferably comprises two rods 9 and 10 secured at one end to the arms of the member 2 adjacent its curved cross bar. These rods 9 and 10 are bent downwardly to form brace members l1 and 12 for the front of the operators seat and are secured to the arms of the member 4 adjacent the forwardly disposed members of the legs 6 and 7. Av cross bar 13 connects the two horizontally disposed rods 9 and l0 near the bends therein and-a bar 14 is connected at its opposite ends tothe arms of member 4 in close proximity to the ends 9 and 10. A heavy mesh wire seat 15 is connected at the edges thereof to the rods 9 and 10 and the bars 13 and 14. Dagonally arranged brace rods 16 and 17 are connected at one end to the rods 9 and 1() and at their other ends to the sides of the member 4 crossing each other between the upright braces 11 and 12. Two similar brace rods. 18 and 19 are connected at one end to the sides of member 4 and at their other ends to the feet 8. A cross rod 2O preferably connects the sides of member 4 in advance of and adjacent to the point of connection of the rods 11 and 12 and a brace 21 connects rod 20 with rod 14.
This cheaply constructed milking stool is light to handle, strong and is also weather proof and the cross bar of the member 2 which projects above the seat forms a con- Y venient handle for carrying the device from placevto place.
From the foregoing description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, the construction and operation of the invention will be readily understood wit-hout requiring a more extended explanation.
Various changes in the form, proportion and the minor details of constructionV may be resorted to without departing from the principle or sacrificing any of the advantages of the invent-ion, as defined in the appended claims.
I claim as my invention:
1. A milking stool comprising an inverted U-shaped upright member, horizontally disposed vertically spaced seat members secured at one end to said upright member, one of said horizontal members extending in advance of the other member, means connected with the lower member for supporting the front end of the upper member, and supports connected with the front end of the ower member.
feet, means for supportingl thel freeendof said horizontally disposed member, n horizontally disposed seat member oonneobedf With said. upright memben ata,4 pon above said first mentioned honizontafl member andhawing ventioalsupports at its front endoonueeted with the legs of said horizontally dis- 1 posed U-shaped member, and a seat arranged onv the front end oi said horizontally disposed Ufshaped member.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing Witnesses.
