such form and proportions that it canbe easily made of glass, porcelain, or any vitreous or other substance not corroded by these mixtures, and at the same time be convenient for use and for cleansing. g i

My improvements will be found in so forming the spoon that it will serve as a stopple, as it hangs down in the bottle when not in use; and the making thisswelled portion of the spoon-handle conical in shape, so that by its Weight it will the more readily slide into, and the more perfectly close the mouth of the bottle. I also form the bottom of the bottle nearly semicircular in shape, as 10W down as possible, and let the spoon-bowl touch at all points of the curved surface, as it is lifted upward, that all the contents of the vessel may be reached. It will be seen that if the stopple besimply a iiauge, overreaching a mouth of ordinary shape, it would be `the same in principle with the form here described; therefore, I do not wish to be confined to this precise form.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The spoon, formed of the combination of the handle H, stopple S, 'and bo'wl B, with the bottle R, formed substantially as described.

In testimony whereof, I have signed my name to this specification, in the presence of two subscribing
