Re it known that I, 'LENA .f\. linoirr, a Citizen ot the United States ot ..'\meriea, and a resident ot Buchanan county, iowa, have invented Certain new and uset'ul linprovements in Ventilating Deviees7 ot which the following a specification.

My invention relates to improvementsl in Ventilating devices, and the objet-t ot' my in'iprtwements is to i'novide a suitable deviee tor application to an opened window, wherel j an entering dra'lt ot air may be de tleeted upwardly, tor more equable distribution throughout a room. and direct dratts npon the inmates avoided. This object l have accomplished by the means whirh are hereinafter described and claimed. and whieh are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in whieh:

To lseeure the deviee to the easing, small eyelets w are inserted in the window traming` and are detaehably engaged by thehooks 1/ on the tension-springs e, whose other ends are lseeured to the side bars ot the said elosed trame. lt. is obvious, however. that other faslening-means 'tor the parts otthe deviee than those specifically deseribed may be adopted without departing trom the prineiples ot my invention.

The air-('-urrent moves toward the Ceiling, where it is again deflected and mingles gradually and evenly with the air ot the room, no part o't the drat't being permitted to impinge upon an oeeupant ot the room. n this way a room is successfully ventilated7 without danger to the oeonpants. dien not in use the deviee may be easily detached from the easing, 'folded7 and laid away, being light and not bulky.
