As shown in the drawings 1 represents a boiler of the ordinary construction having water tubes 2. and 3 is the masonry wall' of the boiler setting adjacent to the boilerand having a recess or opening therethrough opposite the boiler tubes. Having thus fully described our invention what we claim is:- I

-means operable through the outer side of the recess for reciprocating the base with header.

The combination with a wall of a boiler setting having a recess extending ,therethrong said recess having an enlar ed outer end opening through the outer side of the wall and a contracted portion -forming a throat opening through the innerside of a wall, of a plate in the bottom of the recess having a guideway a plate forming thetop of the ,recess, angle bars extending between said plates and located at the outer end of the throat, said angle bars forming the side members of a door frame, a door .pivotally supported adjacent to-one of the angle bars to be turnedacross the'throat into engagement with the other angle bar, a base reciprocable in the plate, an upwardly extending headersupported by the base, means within-thei'outer enlarged portion of the recess for supplying steam tothe base, and means for reciprocating the base with its header.
