To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Zon D. UNDEIlI-IILL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Bedford llills. county of Westchester, and State of New York, have invented a new and use tul Improvement in Game Apparatus, of which the following is a full, clear, and exactdescription, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.

The object of my invention is to produce an apparatus adapted to furnish recreation and amusement ot' a competitive character.

The invention consists of an apparatus, substantially as herein described, designed to rest upon the floor or table and containing receptacles adapted to receive cards or other articles thrown by the players.

In the drawings: Figure l is a perspective view of an apparatus embodying my invention: Fig. 2 is a cross section on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1.

The body of the apparatus comprises an uprightstick a from near the lower end of which radiate a number of ribs Z) connected by sections 0 of fabric or paper. The ribs 0, in their outward extensions. are slightly inclined upwardly to the horizontal, thereby forming a conically-shapcd base. Ribs (Z connect the ribs 6, between the latters ends, with a sleeve 0 on the stick T here is thus formed structure resembling, in appearance and construction, an inverted umbrella, or parasol with an abbreviated stick. Secured on edge to the ribs Z) and centrally located beneath the structure 6, c, is a ring f, which rests directly upon the floor or table and sustains the device in an upright position.

The apparatus described is so constructed that it contains, besides the central receptacle 1 .1, the series or receptacles m, radiating from the Sl'ltli a, and formed by the base Z), c, the cover 71,, and the opposing side walls of adjacent radial partitions 2.

The players stand at a given distance from the apparatus and toss cards towz rd the same with the objectof depositing as many cards as possible in one of the receptacles /a or m. Suitable numerical values may be given to the several radial receptacles mand higher numerical value to the central receptacle 7;, into which it will be possible to throw comparatively few cards.

The parts of the apparatus may be glued or otherwise permanently united, or such of the parts may be left loosely connected as will enable the receptacle 7c and ring f to be removed and the remaining part Oi the device tolded up like an umbrella or parasol.

Having now fully described my invention, what I claim and desire to protect by Let ters Patent is:

l. A game apparatus comprising a device constructed in the similitude oi an umbrella or parasol and provided with radial partitions extending from the outer part thereof toward the central part, and a receptacle arranged centrally or the device and above the radial partitions.

2. A game apparatus comprising an upright stick, a base of inverted cone shape surrounding the stick, a cover of uprightcone shape surrounding the stick and overlying the base. and partitions conn cted with the cover and base and :t'orming therewith a series of receptacles, and a receptacle surrounding the upper end ot the stick.

8. A game apparatus comprising an upright stick, a series of ribs radiating from the lower end thereof and inclined somewhat upward, a series of ribs radiating from the stick above its lower end and inclined downward and connected with the named ribs, a covering applied to the first series of ribs, a covering applied to the second series of ribs, and a series of partitions connected to both covers and forming a series of receptacles.
