Reference has heretofore been made 'to the means for moving the cover and plate successively, that is to say, movingithe plate so as to engage the sensitized inaterial'prior tothe time the cover is lifted to such an extent' as to admit light, and in carrying out that feature of the invention, the said plate has a-rod @attached to, it, and the cover has connection with the rod r-to which the lever Z ispivotally connected.
