Beit known that l, JEAN' STARR Samsom, a citizen-ofthe United States, and a lresident of New Rochelle', in th'e countv of 'cstchester and State ofNew York,- have invented a new and Improved Bed-Stra i, of which the following is a full, clear, and ex# act description.

This invention relates to a new and iinproved safety strap forholding a small child in bed, and preventing the child, by its tossingrl and kicking. from uncovering itself and becoming exposed.

n object of this invention is to provide a device which will be simple. in construction.'- inexpensive to manufacture. strong. durable, and readily adjusted. y

further object ot this invention is tao provide a strap which will be resilient in its action. and which may` be adjustably sccured to the bed clothing in a detachable iuanncr. v

It will be seen that the child is free to turn and move to a slight extent, the belts formed by the transverse strap being resilient enougi to permit this movement, and the longitudinally-extending stra is, being disposed to either side of the chil also permitthis movement.

YVliile I have shown one embodiment of my invention, I dornot wish to be limited to the specific details thereof, but desire to be protected in various changes, modifications and alterations which I may make within'the scope of the appended claims.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1. ln a device of the class described, the combination with one or more longitudinally-extending straps, of a transverse strap formed of two members, one end of one of said members being detacliably'and adjnstably secured 4to one end-of the other of said members, and the other end of the first mentioned member being detachably secured to4 the other end of the second-mentioned member to form a complete endless band.
