IMPROVED METHOD OF RENOVATING THE'CUTTINGEDG-ES OF HARVESTER-GUARDS The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part ofthe same.
To all whom 'it may concer-11';
Be it `known that IJA'ooB HUMMEL, Jr., of New Middletown, in the county of Mahoning, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and improved Harvester- Guardg and I do hereby declare* that the following is a full. and exact description of the same, reference heilig had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
This invention consists of a process for raising the edges pf harvester-guards, when they become rounded by wear.

I will now proceed to fully describe it.
A represents a harvesterguard, constructedas usual,
with the shank A1 and point A, having the slot A3.v

To remedy this evil, I raise these edges, by means of a grooving-hammer, as shown in fig. l.
